1st Gear school of motoring was formed in 1998 by Graham Woodcock, himself an approved driving instructor. As time went by other instructors asked to join 1st gear and the school now has instructors throughout the south Devon area.

We pride ourselves in providing an excellent service to pupils learning to drive by using instructors hand picked for their reliability, patience and good time keeping. We are constantly updating our teaching methods as set out by the DSA (Driving standards Agency) to provide the most up to date standard of tuition in the area.
